Weitere App in Vorbereitung

A Surprising App

To pretty much everyone’s complete surprise, a new app is coming to the App Store. And without exaggerating… this one is kind of a big deal. 😉
Joking aside, I’ve always wanted an app for managing recipes from all kinds of sources (photos, PDFs, typed entries, and so on).
I couldn’t find anything like that—and when I did, it either required a subscription, included in-app purchases, or simply wasn’t very good.
As the saying goes: if you want something done right, do it yourself.

So—check it out in the App Store, download it, and delete it again if you don’t like it.

Version 1.3 Is Almost Ready

Version 1.3 is now almost ready and will be submitted for review later today. A lot has changed since version 1.0.

  • A preview of the end of the month, showing the result after all upcoming transactions have been applied to the Geldtöpfe.
  • In addition to recurring transactions, you can now also create a scheduled transfer.
  • Geldtöpfe can be marked so that their combined balance is shown as “available money.”
  • CSV export of transactions

You can find the app in the App Store here:

Geldtöpfe Is Taking Shape

The new version of the budgeting app is taking shape. Core features such as transactions and recurring transactions are working and are currently being tested. There is also already an overview of spending by category for each month or year.

Here is the simple entry screen for recording a transaction. More screenshots will follow.

As you can see, there are three types of transactions: expense, deposit, and transfer.

The Budgeting App Returns

In an age of completely overloaded expense-tracking apps, the David among finance apps will return with a new cape—or rather, a new name—and let you manage your expenses using “pots.”

For the younger crowd, that means:

The app will be farming aura with style… well, something like that.

In any case, the name has been decided:

Geldtöpfe

Since I’m working on this in my spare time, it will still be a while before the first version is available—but I’m highly motivated.

New App: Wortpaare

At the suggestion—and request—of my favorite sister-in-law, a new KaLaApps app will soon be coming to the App Store. Essentially, it is a kind of matching game using word pairs. It can be used for learning vocabulary, for example. Pairs consisting of an abbreviation and its meaning are another possibility.
You can enter these pairs directly in the app. To add larger quantities, you can also import a simple text file containing word pairs. Word pairs belonging to a topic can be exported as well.

The first version will focus on the core functionality. Future versions will expand the methods used to select which pairs you practice.

The app will also gradually receive some visual polish.

Stay tuned…
